N 時 N 分です
Telling the time
Add 時 (hours) and 分 (minutes) after numbers. 分 is ~fun after 2, 5, 7, 9 and ~pun after 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 (e.g. 10分 = juppun). Ask the time with 今何時ですか; ask minutes with 何分.

Verb ます forms
The ます form is the polite predicate: ます (present/future), ません (negative), ました (past), ませんでした (past negative). It states habits, general truths, or future actions.
私は毎日勉強します。
毎朝 6時に起きます。
あした 6時に起きます。
けさ 6時に起きました。
V ますか
Verb questions
Add か to make a yes/no question; word order stays the same. Put the question word where the answer goes. Repeat the verb in the answer - do not use そうです or ちがいます alone for verb questions.
きのう勉強しましたか。
毎朝何時に起きますか。
Answers
Answer はい/いいえ plus the verb form, or give the time with ～に ～ます.
はい、勉強しました。
いいえ、勉強しませんでした。
6時に起きます。

Time + に + verb
Put に after a time noun for when an action happens (6時半に起きます). Do NOT use に after きょう, あした, きのう, けさ, こんばん, いま, 毎朝, etc. に is optional after days of the week and あさ/ひる/ばん.
6時半に起きます。

N1 から N2 まで
From ~ to ~ (から / まで)
から marks the start and まで the end of a time or place range. They can be used together or alone. With nouns and です, state opening hours or a time span.
9時から 5時まで勉強します。
9時から働きます。
銀行は 9時から 3時までです。
昼休みは 12時からです。
N1 と N2
と (and, linking nouns)
と connects two nouns of equal status, like "and" in English.
銀行の休みは土曜日と日曜日です。

Sentence-ending ね (isn't it?)
ね at the end seeks agreement, sympathy, or confirms what was just said.

Using a public phone
